In group classes we try to offer a balanced practice that touches upon strength, flexibility, balance and focus. While it is essential to have balance in your yoga practice, some students need special attention to deepen a particular area of need. For example, I had one student who, despite many years of yoga practice with other teachers, was extremely limited in flexibility. In our one-on-one sessions she was afforded the individual attention to move beyond the physical and emotional blocks* that had limited her flexibility in the past.
