Class Format: Monique’s Hatha Yoga Classes are 90 minute, multilevel classes in Naples Florida, with modifications for beginners and intermediate practitioners. If your group would prefer a Gentle Yoga, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Senior Yoga, or Couples Yoga class, please let Monique know. She is happy to create a class that accomodates the needs of eager students. Monique is also available to teach one hour yoga meditation/relaxation classes or private yoga lessons.
Classes are a yoga experience that incorporate meditation, movement, music, touch, aromatherapy and yogic philosophy. In these 90 minutes class students of varying levels will learn simple, natural techniques believed to increase physical and spiritual health.
Monique Danielle is certified by the Yoga Alliance, The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), The Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and STOTT Pilates (Aug '07). While she believes in the benefits of practicing multiple modalities, yoga is her first love. She believes that the path to wellness should be fun and joyful. By teaching a yoga class that emphasizes acceptance, non-competitiveness, and self awareness, Monique strives to create an environment where students of varying levels transcend personal barriers, inspire one another, and enjoy the benefits of practicing as a community.
As both a yoga instructor and yoga student, she believes that Yoga is a life long journey in which the student and teacher continually learn from one another.
Monique’s yoga teacher training is from the Sivananda Yoga lineage. Sivananda Yoga is the yoga of fullness that intelligently integrates Hatha, Raja, Karma, Bhakti, Jnana and Nada Yoga to purify and harmonize all aspects of an individuals person so that person shines forth with joy and beauty. Deep, simple and practical, this type of Yoga helps people from every background and faith to live fuller, happier lives based on lasting yogic values. The basic teaching of Sivananda Yoga is that health, peace and joy are already within you, and are your birthright. The purpose of Sivananda Yoga is to help you uncover these blessings.
