The focus of your fitness program should be about feeling good, NOT looking good. When we focus on how we feel instead of how we look we achieve greater levels of total mind/body fitness. With a holistic fitness approach it is much easier to stick with a fitness program, and make that program an integral part of our daily lives.
Each day we are bombarded with hundreds of media messages telling us that ‘looking good’ is only attainable to those who are under 30, under weight, and over made up. Or, that looking good is strictly about buns of steel, six-pack abs and a chiseled face. This is not fitness. This is superficial madness. Not only does it set us up for failure and disappointment, it prevents us from appreciating the unique beauty within ourselves and others. Beauty truly does shine from the inside out, which is why it is so rewarding to follow a fitness program that focuses on strengthening your body, nurturing your soul, and living more fully. When you set and maintain your intention to Strengthen, Nurture and Live, you find that your physical activities, dietary discipline, and relaxation routines reap greater rewards. The end result is that not only do you feel good, but you look good too! And, because you feel (and look) good, you find it much easier, and much more enjoyable to stick to your fitness program. Learn more about our ‘feel good’ fitness program and how it can help you. |
